  • About the Adams Morgan MainStreet Group

Dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.” - Roger A. Caras (1928 - 2001)

The annual BowWow PowWow is organized by the Adams Morgan MainStreet Group (AMMG), a 501(c)3 non-profit that enhances the Adams Morgan business area and helps preserve its multicultural dynamics. Strategies include design elements, promotional activities, transportation improvements, and advertising to capitalize on the area’s eclectic and ethnic small business vitality. Comprised of residents, businesses, and non-profits working together to magnify Adams Morgan’s unique character, AMMG works on diversification/retention, improved appearance, special promotions, and the Adams Morgan Day Festival.

Adams Morgan MainStreet is a volunteer-driven organization whose dedicated volunteers work to improve the vibrancy of this colorful neighborhood. The AMMG relies on cash and in-kind donations for its projects in design/transportation, promotion, improved appearance, and economic vitality.

AMMG is a tax exempt 501(c)3 and is funded in part by the Department of Small and Local Business Development, local biz, and sponsors.
